Although individual vendors can offer context-aware security applications, large vendors have taken the initiative to standardize the industry. For example, in 2013, Cisco created the pxGrid framework in collaboration with various partners to allow different vendor platforms to share context-aware security information. Standards groups such as the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) could also play an important role in the development of context-aware security tools.
